May be, with thousands of biking enthusiasts from all walks of life across Australia, uniting together to honour Daniel, might just set a record.

“RIDE for DANIEL”


The ride is approximately 110 kilometres throughout the Sunshine Coast hinterland and coastal areas.
Thousands join in as either a motorcycle rider or spectator along the route, and will be part of “Australia's largest Charity Bike Ride” of its type. You could feel the energy, listen to the pipes!
An experience never forgotten!
5000 bikers plus, stretching 20km long in a continuous
procession of chrome helmets and leather.

The fourth annual “Ride for Danie” being held on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, Sunday 8 June 2008, has changed route. Owing to safety reasons the ride will not go through population-dense areas. This year the Mainroads, Police and the “Ride for Daniel" Committee, all agreed that spectotor and road users safety was the biggest concern

WHICH WAY?

This year the route tekes us the scenic way through the hinterland from Nambour to Yandina to Cooroy and down back along the Bruce Hwy to the finish about lunch time at the Ettamogah Pub near Forrest Glenn.

HISTORY OF THE RIDE

The ‘Ride for Daniel” raises funds for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation set up by the parents of the missing Sunshine Coast teenager Daniel Morcombe who disapeared 7th Dec.2003
The funds raised by the Foundation is directly used to financially benefit and assist other child victims of crime and educate children about personal safety.
