Harley Davidson is a little bit light on, in it’s 2010 Model line-up (lousy joke) with no less than nine new models we can swing a leg over. This is unprecedented, and represents the largest model introduction in Harley-Davidson's long history.
Harley-Davidson's entry level starts out with no less than a total of five models all priced around, or just under $10k.
Naturally if you have the dosh, and might want to splurge, then you can try four new models from their Custom Vehicle Operations Group and drool over no less than a CVO Fat Bob, CVO Softail Convertible, CVO Street Glide and just the epitome of Harley-Davidson, the top end CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide. These models will only set you back between $25k to $36K not much if it’s what you want, and Harley have the lot.

BARRY SHEENE MEMORIAL RACE MEETING

The BARRY SHEENE MEMORIAL RACE MEETING will be staged at EASTERN CREEK INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY on Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd of March 2008.
This event is to commemorate the life of the late great, legend, BARRY SHEENE.

CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE RG500 SUZUKI

The RG500 SUZUKI that won Barry Sheene his races was powered by a basic water cooled, two stroke square four cylinder with 498cc or 30.4 cu.in. The photo for your perusal feature the fabulous five spoke gold wheels with the SUZUKI/FABERGE color livery over white looks stunning.
In 1976 Barry won five 500cc G.P.races and hense became World Champion.
The following year he won 6 races and retained his crown riding his SUZUKI

Classic Motorcycle Racer

Barry Sheene was born in London England, September 11th and was the second child of Frank and Iris. Barry was a "Pommie" that endeared himself to Australians in and out of Motor Sport. Barry used his charm and good looks, his smile, and that crazy English accent that was so very unique, that made Barry loved by "Aussies" all over.
Barry's rise in popularity jumped when he moved from Channel Nine, sitting with the explosive Darryl Eastlake, to Channel Ten to cover the Grand Prix series, after that Barry never looked back. Barry wasn't short at coming forward and was arguably on of the first motorcycle racers to score large endorsements from sponsorships.

This crash took Barry into the realm of dubious records,that it arguably was, at the speed of 175mph the fastest crash on record, and the other was that he was lucky to survive at all. His injuries included, broken left thigh, right arm, broken ribs, and damage to several vertibrae.
Barry was recorded in an interview later,and asked what he thought about his crash, and in his own way with that smile and accent he said, "If I'd been a race horse, I'd have been shot, apart from that, I'm fine."
Barry was up and about (all be it on crutches) a week after the operations to pin him self back together again.

SAFETY ISSUES

Not widely known, Barry contributed to bike racing in other than a competitive way. Barry was responsible for designing and manufacture of the prototype "Back Brace" used so commonly today. He gave this to an Italian manufacturing company Dainese, to produce and distribute through out the world.

Barry Sheene died of Cancer March 10, 2003 leaving his wife Stephany and two children.

Classic Harley Davidson Motorcycles

There was another time back in 1935 when all things American, turned Asian.
Harley Davidson licenced everything to Sankyo, this in turn initiated the Japanese to set up a new motorcycle manufacturing industry, after all they had every thing they needed, but thats another story.

1902 Was A Very Good Year.

Back in 1902 a young William Harley designed a one cylinder engined motorcycle. As it happend one year later he met up with Arthur Davidson and together they created Harley Davidson.
Their first factory was a small wooden shack but importantly it had Harley Davidson sinage on the front.
William and Arthur had no idea they were birthing of one of the greatest motorcycle companies in the world, Harley Davidson
, a true classic motorcycle company.

Legends on Classic Motorcycles

There was a time when the Classic Motorcycle, Triumph Bonneville had screen ledgends astride. Marlin Brando, Richard Gere, and Clint Easwood all rode ‘Bonneville's in their respective classic movies (no prizes for getting them right). James Dean as legend goes, gave away a Harley Davidson to Elvis, and was rumoured to have sat on a classic motorcycle called a Triumph Bonneville. Jame's personal Triumph motorcycle had "Deans Dillema" painted on the tank. (No, not a movie)

Brando’s motorcycle in fact was a Tiger T110 on which the classic Bonneville motorcycle was based. Brando also appeared in the movie, The Wild One.
I'll digress a little here on motorcycle makes as Harley Davidson also had a hand with "legends" on board. Easy Rider was a 1969 "trip" movie starring Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, and Jack Nicholson. the movie was released in the year of Woodstock and the assinations of Martin Luther King, and Robert Kennedy. Also the election of a president called Nixon. Fonda, Hopper, and Nicholson, rode decorated chopped Harley Davidsons. (Nicholson spent most of his time as a pillion)

Arguably the most valued collectors item would be the "Triumph Bonneville Royal Wedding T140D" to celebrate Charles and Dianna's wedding in 1981. This model came with certification of authenticity and hearalded today as a true Classic Motorcycle.
